Public Officials Day on Jan. 11th at PA Farm Show
December 16th, 20222023 Farm Show Invitation for Public Officials
Please join the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for the 107th Pennsylvania Farm Show at the PA Farm Show Complexlocated at 2300 North Cameron Street in Harrisburg.
This year, the 2023 Farm Show theme is Rooted in Progress. In agriculture, and within our own lives, roots leave everlasting impacts. Roots are essential to life itself. They are both a beginning and a life-sustaining source of nourishment and growth. The fruits they bear go on to influence the lives of people across communities, the commonwealth, and the world.
As we approach transitions, we are reminded of our roots and the legacy we will leave behind. We are reminded of those who planted seeds, nurtured them to grow and created strong roots, so that others could grow and progress. This year, we will celebrate and recognize our past, present, and future, and we hope you can join us throughout the week.
You can view general scheduleof events to see the robust program, and we would like to highlight some events:
• The Farm Show will kick off with the PA Preferred Reception, held on Friday, January 6 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. You can register hereto attend or sponsor the event.
• Opening Ceremonies will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 10:00 AM. Please note this event will be outside at the steps to the Maclay Street lobby.
• Public Officials Day on Wednesday January 11. This day provides opportunities for our public officials to network with farmers, agricultural support organizations, industry members and other officials from local, state, and federal government. The highlight of the day is the luncheon, which starts at 11 AM in the PA Preferred Banquet Hall. You can register here.
As a public official, you are a crucial partner in Pennsylvania’s agriculture community. Partnerships with local, state, and federal officials are often the catalyst for tremendous success in efforts to promote, protect, and preserve our agriculture community and resources.
Agriculture continues to feed progress. It is rooted in policy, programs, investments, and people who will continue to make a difference. We are looking forward to the future, to planting new roots and continuing to grow Pennsylvania’s potential.
We would be honored if you would join us at the 2023 PA Farm Show as we recognize and celebrate agriculture.
Sincerely,
Russell C. Redding
Secretary of Agriculture
